Apicultural development. We work to promote sustainable apiculture to create livelihood benefits for poor and vulnerable communities and conserve biodiversity. Our work falls within six themes. Market access for the poor (honey and bee products), research into the link between beekeeping, poverty alleviation and conservation, advocacy for poor beekeepers, networking for sharing and learning, think-tank on key sectoral issues and knowledge and skill development. A core component of BfD is the Bees for Development Journal. BfD comprises two organisations, a charity, and a consultancy company.
