How to commission the LRC

The LRC has an agreement with DFID to commission any work related to rural and agricultural development or related livelihoods services.  For a complete picture please see the thematic pages on the website. Our services are available to all DFID personnel.  Commissioning us is very simple as outlined in the 5 steps below.

If you have a piece of work that you would like the LRC to commission then:

1.       E-mail us at lrc@htspe.com with Terms of Reference (ToR), or telephone +44 1442 202400.  We are happy to discuss your requirements and will clarify any points raised in the ToR with you as quickly as possible, aiming to do so within one working day.

2.       Once the ToR is confirmed the LRC has ten days to respond with a budget and CVs. To ensure that the best expertise are sourced the LRC consortium is able to put forward candidates who are independently evaluated as part of our service.

3.       Approval is gained by the commissioning DFID Adviser, clarifying with us where necessary.  Once agreed the response is passed on to the requesting DFID Adviser to submit the budget, CVs and an Authorisation to Engage (ATE) to CB3 in Procurement Group.

4.       Under our Framework Agreement Procurement Group is able to issue us with a Call Down Contract and will do so quickly once the ATE and supporting documents have been sent.

5.       Once the LRC has the Call Down Contact in place, work commences.  We will mobilise expertise and ensure that outputs are delivered on time.  All work commissioned through us is guided by our commitment to provide a high quality service that is transparent and responsive.
