CALL for Climate Change Experts


May 2009

The LRC is looking to establish a core of international development experts from around the world (including Asia and Africa) who can respond to climate change adaptation and mitigation assignments globally. In particular we are looking for:

·         Livelihoods and rural development experts with climate change adaptation experience for pro- poor development

·         Agriculture experts who can demonstrate experience of working with communities to adapt to changing environment/ climate

·         Agriculture/ trade policy experts with experience in integrating climate change adaptation/ mitigation into policy and programme design

·         Experts who have worked with international donors and recipient governments/ organisations to incorporate climate change adaptation/ mitigation in national plans and policies

·         Grant/ fund management experts with particular experience in design and/ or evaluation of submissions for climate change/ environment funds

·         Also research and technical experts in the field of climate change adaptation and mitigation where relevant to pro-poor international development
