- Pro Poor Procurement Forum - Meeting Report
The first Pro- Poor Procurement meeting was held at Chatham House, London on 11th March 2008.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide a setting for retailers and food manufacturers to discuss pro-poor procurement and other practices, particularly for Africa. The objectives of the Forum were to raise awareness of the impact of current buying models on rural poverty reduction in developing countries and to encourage experimentation in private-sector procurement systems and other practices that contribute to poverty reduction.See the full report- DFID Transforming Rural Livelihoods in India Report
DFID India has published a report looking at the impact of its work in tackling poverty in rural India.
- Call for Climate Change Experts
- The LRC is looking to establish a core of international development experts from around the world (including Asia and Africa) who can respond to climate change adaptation and mitigation assignments globally.
- Royal Society publishes Biodiversity Climate Interactions Report
